In the Dark;

And then that morning, some of the kidnapped in Somarium and some of the kidnapped in Vatheon found themselves again drawn to another location, another world, perhaps. They would wake up, scattered amongst the ruins, Vatheon architecture colliding with Somarium’s in a decrepit, mismatched way.

Those originating from Somarium might recognize the castle that had once been in the sky from the shadowy corridors. Those from Vatheon will surely see hints of the church in the columns and the curving doorways.

But regardless, it seems somehow they are now inside--and they are trapped there.

Opening doors leads to more shadowy corridors, monsters of rotting fish and shadowy, deadly noctaere. Some parts of the flooring are rotting as well, crumbling underneath the slightest of weight to reveal dark, cold, black water beneath.

Watch your step in this strange place--it seems to be hostile. Thankfully, it looks like you’ve got help, and from another world.

Welcome welcome Sommunists and Vatheonites to the crossover portion of this week!

As the signal post above indicates, everyone will be arriving in a mix-matched setting apart from Vatheon and Somarium which resembles a mash up of the Church and the Floating Castle, only now they’re trapped inside. All SFCs and Dreamberries appear to be missing as well. Everything will be face-to-face interaction here, but thankfully that’s not hard, as everyone is trapped in the same place. They will no longer be in Somarium or Vatheon, so you cannot post or tag things in game from 4/28 to 4/29. ICly that is how long the crossover will last, though backtagging is always acceptable and encouraged! Watch out for the monsters, and feel free to post and mingle around!

[ Yuan was starting to get sick of this sudden change in location thing. At least that insipid fairy had vanished, but any of the other signs that he was still in Somarium had vanished as well. Plus the comparative silence to the last few days was a little disconcerting.

He'd found a way to pass the time, though. Namely, it was cutting down the small mob of fish monsters that had come after him with his Swallow. It was just an irritation to Yuan. These things weren't a challenging fight to him at all.

Not that most other people would know that...]

['Scept, y'know, other Seraphs. Zelos had just finished with his own easily dispatched batch of monsters and was shaking the bits of fillet from his boots with a muttering about smelling like fish for days when he catches sight of the familiar weapon.]

Oh for- Are all of you gonna show up?! Now all we're missing is Martel!

[Blink. Well this is definitely unexpected. And confusing.]

Chosen. I don't have time for nonsense. When did you get here, anyway?

I was gonna ask you the same thing! I've been in Vatheon for months but the castle is new. Can't say I'm a fan.

[The Chosen frowns mightily, looking aside to keep an eye out for more threats.]

Guess it makes sense you'd arrive around the same time as those two.

Vatheon? What the hell are you talking about? That castle has been in Somarium as long as I've been here. [In a different state but that doesn't seem important now. Something's very not right...]

And who would "those two" be?

Somarium? Never heard of it, but a lot of this looks like the church to me.

[Zelos crosses his arms petulantly. This is strange, to say the least. What's stranger is...]

Like you don't know. Kratos and Mithos showed up, and now there's you. No wonder I'm in a bad mood.

... What church are you talking about?

[Something definitely isn't adding up. And he only looks surprised at his last statement. He was well aware of Mithos, but...]

Kratos? The last I heard he wasn't here and I certainly haven't seen him.

He just arrived. So did Mithos though, so I'm kind of surprised you don't know... Granted I haven't seen you either, so...

...This is pretty weird. What's going on?

[The Chosen frowns deeply at Yuan. He agrees with you there Yuan, the math really isn't coming out right.]

You say you came from a place called Somarium, and I came here from Vatheon... Ugh if this is an experiment or curse or something I'm gonna be pissed, but maybe we're from different areas of the same world we got dragged to? It would make sense for Mithos to keep something like that from the both of us.

This world is clearly bigger than the places people can get to. I wouldn't put it past whoever's behind this to try something this ridiculous. But then the fact that they've split everyone to different places is suspicious. Unless...

[No, this seemed too complicated even for an experiments. And why had Mithos been able to travel however far it was especially when he had been trying to stay with Martel as much as possible?

Yuan just frowns as he thinks.]

Well the way Vatheon works is there's this crazy under sea bubble with a coral that we have to touch or else we pass out after too long.

[He crosses his arms.]

There's curses and we know we're being monitored so it's like one big experiment to me, but Mithos got himself stuck in the bubble so I can't say I think it's his doing. The Eternal Sword didn't do anything.

What about your place?

Under sea...? [He sounds slightly taken aback.]

The claim is that Somarium exists in a dream world. At the very least, dreams can be broadcast to others out of our control. It's surrounded by a desert and has other...unusual landmarks.

I doubt Yggdrasill is responsible for this, though the ability to travel between them is suspicious.

[Zelos's eyes narrow drastically at Yuan's mention of broadcast dreams. He'd experienced that first hand, after all, and it had shaken him and irritated him to no end. To think that there's an entire place where that happens consistently? He'll thank his lucky stars he landed in Vatheon instead.]

Even if he's not responsible, he still knows about it apparently, if he can go between places. Maybe we should find him and get some damn answers directly for once.

I doubt it would be that simple. [Considering he hasn't been able to hold a conversation with Mithos without it turning into a shouting match.]

But regardless, it should be easy to tell if he really knows something or not. Any other plans would have to go from there.

[ To be honest, Duke wasn't particularly aware that this mob of fish monsters had a target. They were a mob, of a small size, which meant perfect for testing.

Which is why he directs Dein Nomos to more or less poke at one until it comes rushing at him, across a line of dull red magic and... get charred but still functioning. It's another handmotion that brings the glowing blade down and through the creature. ]

Not enough strength. Alter that line, increase heat.....

[Yuan spots Duke and observes him as well as he can while taking out the attackers. It looked like he had some kind of magic sword.

...Magic sword...

He plows through some monsters in an attempt to carefully approach him without being mistaken for a rotting fish monster. Once he thought he had been noticed at least he took out a few more.]

These creatures don't seem to have any noteable strong points.

[Just giving a little information, maybe he could get it in return.]

Noted. [ Don't worry, Yuan, you don't feel like a fish-thing to Duke's mana, although you do feel a bit like Mithos, Dhaos, Zelos and Kratos. He needs to figure out why, but ... well, he's in a castle-thing with fish-undead. Dein Nomos comes back toward a more defensive floating, though, all weird red light and everything.

There. That line was altered, time to poke another fish, lure it over his red line on the floor...

... Moving crispy fish. ]

... They still move while overly charred... Charred only on surface? Perhaps need to add another element, paralyze? But if rotting... [ Sorry, Yuan, he's really distracted by figuring this out at the moment. ]

[Yuan's more interested in the capabilities of that weapon anyway, so he doesn't mind the analysis. Besides, there really were more important things to do right now.

Such as taking out a trio that was trying to surround him. At least his own weapon made that a simple task. Yuan's going to keep plowing into them while he tries to observe more.]

....? [ That is a weird looking sword-thing you use there, Yuan. Duke blinks from his work on making a line that the fish-creatures can't cross to stare for a moment. Huh. ]

Momentum based? [ Dein Nomos just seems to float about and move as he directs - although how tiny hand movements are directions, it's not quite clear. ]

[Yuan looks back at him for a second before he realizes he's talking about his own weapon. Well, what were the odds?]

Right. It's designed to handle situations like this.

[And he looks at his...floating...sword.]

What is that?

... Useful. Swarmed situations usually more hazardous. [ A blink to his blade. ]

[Not exactly what he'd been looking for, but continuing wasn't out of the question now.]

I see. It clearly isn't a typical blade.

[And an arm goes flying off a fish monster.]

.... Correct. [ The fact that it looks really weird doesn't help that.

It seems like the fish monsters are catching on to the fact that he is luring them closer and would rather swarm. A twist of fingers by his left side, an arc bringing that hand to his right and another twist has the blade moving in nearly matching movements. A tight spin, a wide spin ending in a tighter one again. A hand tilt to rid the blade of clinging dead fish monster and it floats back to his side as he drops his arm. ]

[He's still not sure if it's along the lines of the type of sword he's interested in. And the rest of the fish monsters inexplicably aren't learning that they'll just die by some blade if they keep attacking. At least it allowed him to ask questions as he fought.]

Why is it "formerly" one?

I am not of the imperial blood line. [ That... may mean all it sounds like.

And since he was working on fire, he might as well find out if he had a spell that would work as a guide for the temperature.

Even if it was a bit overkill in a hallway, this is Duke sliding back a little to start casting Spiral Flare. Beam of fire time is a go. ]

[He was expecting as much, honestly. And considering the attack he was now seeing he could understand why someone might want it for fighting at least. That didn't mean it didn't have other qualities though.]

Then what's the reason for you having it now?
